In other words, it is never enough to have a great looking website. There are many other considerations as well.

It might be better to have fewer images If your website is not about photography, you should probably have very few images. The fact is, if you have a lot of images, the web page will take a lot of time to load and this will upset many visitors - many of them will even hit the back button and go back to the search engine. And in most cases, images are not really necessary at all. They do not add any value to your product or service and do not lead to conversions. It is the content that informs the visitor about what you are offering and so this is always very important. If you must have images, then just carry 1 or 2 images of your product and images of all those people who have provided you testimonials. And if you have a sales letter website, then you can publish your own image to make it personal.
Get rid of that banner as well Traditionally, we are used to seeing banners. However, banners too do not add much value and they cannot lead to sales. On the contrary, the banner can reduce your conversion rate. If you have a banner, it will usually attract the attention of the visitor and in the process, the person might miss out on the more important elements in the page. The banner can also push down your Headline (which is very important) to below the fold. This is not a good idea. So get rid of the banner.
The navigation structure When you are planning the web site design, you need to also plan the navigation structure of your website. This is very important even if you just have a few pages in the website. You must have a navigation structure that is easy to understand and use. Name the pages correctly - a confused visitor is a lost chance to make a sale or generate a lead.
Fewer clicks No one likes to click too many times. So try to keep the number of clicks low. Display the product or the form right in the Home page. When someone clicks on the Buy button, you should take himher straight to the shopping cart page. On the other hand, if you are generating leads, try to find out whether a 2 page form or a 3 page form (with fewer fields in each page) works for you better. If you are offering several products, then you should have a page where you should display all of them.
When you are creating your web site design, try to ensure that there are no usability issues. And of course, there shouldn't be any bugs or errors on the page.
