Coffe - it is good for us?

Coffee grows best on frost-free hillsides with moderate rainfall. The world's largest producers are Brazil, Colombia, and C?te d'Ivoire; other people consist of Indonesia (Java), Ethiopia, India, Hawaii, and Jamaica. The Association of Coffee Producing Countries (ACPC) was founded in 1993 to represent its 28 members, of whom the 14 ratified members produce over 60% of world coffee supply. Within the American colonies, coffee became the substitute for tea when tea was taxed by the British.
Following the USA became an independent nation, coffee remained the national drink and is so well-liked that 'coffee breaks' are negotiated into work contracts. Coffee is usually drunk hot, black or with cream and sugar; it's also drunk cold as iced coffee, particularly in summer.
In 2004 the very first commercially viable, naturally decaffeinated coffee-producing plants were discovered by Brazilian researchers. Following breeding three,000 Ethiopian coffee plants with the aim of producing low-caffeine strains of coffee beans, the researchers found that 3 coffee-producing shrubs, derived from the Caffea arabica species, produced beans that had been naturally decaffeinated, possessing only one-fifteenth of the caffeine content of commercial coffee-producing plants.

Beginning as a cherry flower, coffee goes through numerous stages and processes prior to reaching your cup.
Cultivated on the mountain slopes of the world's coffee-growing regions, the coffee bean originates from a tree that produces a single white flower. This flower creates a fruit, or cherry, that signifies its ripeness by turning a deep crimson color. Inside the cherry is a seed, generally known as the coffee bean, which is retrieved from the flower and sent to a roasting facility. Roasts vary from light brown, medium brown, darker brown, dark brown to nearly black, to suit individual tastes.
