The movie describes the life of a man named Adam, whose persona is played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The main character is a 27-year-old perfectly strong and healthy fellow who in the movie is all of a sudden clinically determined to have a form of cancer. Adam breaks the bad news to all those who are strongly in connection with him, which are his girlfriend named Rachael that is played by Bryce Dallas Howard, his closest friend named Kyle that is played by Seth Rogen, and Adam's mom Diane who is portrayed by Anjelica Huston, who is also caring for Adam's father, which is played by Serge Houde, a guy who's suffering from dementia. Everybody who knows about the news about Adam handles it in different ways. Others carry it by heart, some don't care, a few embellish everything and there were others who turn overly aware of Adam's condition that is why they are inclined to be overprotective towards him or they tend to make decisions for his own. Despite all the anxiety that was taking effect around him, Adam tries a particular remedy from a young newbie surgeon named Katie, whose role is played by Anna Kendrick. Katie is the counselor that a medical facility assigned to him. Because of this, Adam does not have any option except to let Katie to manage everything. As Adam stays at the hospital, he befriends two elderly and witty chemotherapy patients whose roles of portrayed by Philip Baker Hall and Matt Frewer. Along the entire story, the three funny chemo patients will then clear plenty of closed doors to companionship, fellowship as well as camaraderie. The three will then ease everyone's anguish and take away the ache.
